A Midsummer Night's Dream at Malmesbury Abbey

Trio Paradis play a Café Concert at Malmesbury Abbey on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month at 2pm: informal feel-good music events with refreshments available in the Abbey Café before and after the concert, where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and cakes, and enjoy live music. 

The music for May's concert is inspired by summer and dreams, and includes an arrangement of Dream Children by Elgar, ‘Jacob’s Dream’, the second movement of Trio Hob XV:31 in Eb by Haydn, and music by Mendelssohn, Lili Boulanger, Turina and Rachmaninov.

Concerts last c45m and entrance - or rather, exit! - is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection.
