A Midsummer Night's Dream at Midsomer Norton

Trio Paradis play a Café Concert on the first Friday lunchtime of each month (Feb-Dec) at 12.30pm at St John’s Church, Midsomer Norton: informal music events in the community, with a pop-up café where you can meet friends for a chat before the concert.

The music for June’s concert is inspired by summer and dreams, and includes an arrangement of Dream Children by Elgar, Schubert's beautiful Notturno, and music by Ivor Gurney, Faure, Madeleine Dring, Mendelssohn and Grieg.

Concerts last c45mins and entrance (or rather, exit!) is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection. Refreshments - tea, coffee & Rosemary's delicious home-made cakes - are on sale half an hour before the concert. There's no need to book, just turn up early for best choice of seat, and maybe bring a cushion for the pew.
