A Midsummer Night's Dream at St Thomas' Church Wells

Trio Paradis play a café concert on the first Monday morning of each month at St Thomas’ Church: informal music events with a pop-up café open from 10.15am where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and enjoy live music.

The music for May's concert is inspired by summer and dreams, and includes an arrangement of Dream Children by Elgar, ‘Jacob’s Dream’, the second movement of Trio Hob XV:31 in Eb by Haydn, and music by Mendelssohn, Lili Boulanger, Turina and Rachmaninov.

Concerts last c45m, and entrance - or rather, exit! - is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection. You might like to bring a cushion for the pew.
