A Midsummer Night's Dream at Warminster Athenaeum

Trio Paradis play a Café Concert at the Athenaeum on the first Friday afternoon of each month (Feb-June) at 3.00pm: informal music events in the community, with a pop-up café after the concert, where you can meet friends for a chat.

The music for May's concert is inspired by summer and dreams, and includes an arrangement of Dream Children by Elgar, ‘Jacob’s Dream’, the second movement of Trio Hob XV:31 in Eb by Haydn, and music by Mendelssohn, Lili Boulanger, Turina and Rachmaninov.

Concerts last c45mins and entrance (or rather, exit!) is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection. There is a pop-up cafe in the lovely First Floor Function Room serving tea, coffee and delicious home-made cakes after the concert, where you can chat with the performers, meet friends and make new ones.
