About the event
Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Lisa Betteridge - violin and Linda Stocks - cello) play a monthly cafe concert on the last Friday of each month (except December) at 1pm at St John's Church Hall: informal feel-good community events with a pop-up café open from 12.15pm where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and enjoy live music. It’s £3.50 for a drink and a cake, and entrance - or rather, exit! - is by donation.
To mark International Women’s Day on 8 March, our Café Concert programme is Daughters of the Muse - music by women composers, including Germaine Tailleferre, Lili Boulanger, Dora Bright, Cécile Chaminade, Rebecca Clark and Rosalind Ellicott.
Concerts last c45mins and entrance is by donation, with a retiring collection. Refreshments - tea, coffee & home-made cakes - are available in the pop-up café half an hour before the concert. There's no need to book, just turn up early to be sure of a table as the concerts are popular.
