Flower Gardens at Midsomer Norton

Trio Paradis play a Café Concert on the first Friday lunchtime of each month (Feb-Dec) at 12.30pm at St John’s Church, Midsomer Norton: informal music events in the community, with a pop-up café where you can meet friends for a chat before the concert.

Our programme for June is inspired by a variety of flowers... and   gardens, with music by Lili Boulanger - D'un Jardin clair, Muriel   Herbert, Rud Langgaard: Fjeldblomster, Dora Pejacevic Violets, Germaine  Tailleferre Fleurs de France, and more.  Roses are featured, including  Franz  Schubert Heidenröslein, Fauré: Roses  d'Isphahan, Roses from the  South by Johann Strauss and Honeysuckle Rose  by Thomas 'Fats' Waller.

Concerts last c45mins and entrance (or rather, exit!) is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection. Refreshments - tea, coffee & Rosemary's delicious home-made cakes - are on sale half an hour before the concert. There's no need to book, just turn up early for…
