Trio Paradis play a Café Concert on the first Wednesday morning of each month (except January) at 11am at The David Hall: informal feel-good music events with a pop-up café open half an hour before the concert where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and enjoy live music.
Our programme for June is inspired by a variety of flowers... and gardens, with music by Lili Boulanger - D'un Jardin clair, Muriel Herbert, Rud Langgaard: Fjeldblomster, Dora Pejacevic Violets, Germaine Tailleferre Fleurs de France, and more. Roses are featured, including Franz Schubert Heidenröslein, Fauré: Roses d'Isphahan, Roses from the South by Johann Strauss and Honeysuckle Rose by Thomas 'Fats' Waller.
Concert lasts c45m. Entrance - or rather exit! - is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection. There's no need to book, but turn up early to be sure of a table and best choice of cakes as these events are very popular.
