Flower Gardens at St Thomas' Church Wells

Trio Paradis play a café concert on the first Monday morning of each month at St Thomas’ Church: informal feel-good music events with a pop-up café half an hour open before the concert where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and enjoy live music.

Our programme for June is inspired by a variety of flowers... and  gardens, with music by Lili Boulanger - D'un Jardin clair, Muriel  Herbert, Rud Langgaard: Fjeldblomster, Dora Pejacevic Violets, Germaine Tailleferre Fleurs de France, and more.  Roses are featured, including Franz  Schubert Heidenröslein, Fauré: Roses  d'Isphahan, Roses from the South by Johann Strauss and Honeysuckle Rose  by Thomas 'Fats' Waller.

Concerts last c45m, and entrance - or rather, exit! - is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection. You might like to bring a cushion for the pew.
