Iberia at Malmesbury Abbey

Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert at Malmesbury Abbey on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month at 2pm: a 45-minute concert of mostly classical music presented by the performers, often with the addition of a poem or two read by Jackie Tong. Refreshments are available in the abbey café before and after the concert.

June's programme is a vibrant collection of music from the Iberian peninsula, including trios by Catalan composers Enrique Granados and Joaquin Malats, an arrangement of the song ‘Madrid’ by singer-composer Pauline Viardot, and music by da Falla, Turina and others.

There’s no need to book, though an RSVP via our website is appreciated. Trio Paradis Cafe Concerts are 'pay-what-you-feel' via a retiring collection, to keep live music affordable for everyone. The Abbey is easily accessible. There is parking in the council car…
