Songs of Travel at Priddy Village Hall

Trio  Paradis - Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Lisa Betteridge - violin & Linda  Stocks - cello -  play a café concert at  Priddy Village Hall, alternating with two other venues (Westbury sub Mendip Village Hall and Easton Church) on the first Monday afternoon of each month (February-December). See below for details of concerts rota.

August's programme is a collection of pieces inspired by places, familiar and exotic, one might visit for a holiday, and includes a variety of C19th- early C20th gems: Kashmiri Song by Amy Woodforde-Finden, Orientale by Cui, Bolero by Ferdinandez Arbos, Dvorak Hungarian Dance in E minor, Veneziana by Sternberg and Grieg Wedding Day at Troldhaugen.

The concert lasts about 45m and is suitable for all ages, including families. Refreshments, including home-made cakes, will be availableand during  before the concert. Entrance is by donation with a retiring collection.  Booking not necessary - just turn up.
