The English Romantics at Christchurch Frome

Trio Paradis play a Café Concert on the first Thursday of each month (Feb-Dec) at 1.15pm at Christchurch: informal feel-good music events with a pop-up café open from c12.45pm where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes and listen to live music. It's £3.50-£4 for a cake and a drink.

May’s Café Concert programme is a collection of beautiful music by English composers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, among them Charles Villiers Stanford, Frank Bridge, Ernest Austin and Alice Verne-Bredt.

Concerts last c45mins and entrance - or rather, exit(!) - is by pay-what-you-feel donation. There's no need to book, just turn up - maybe bring a cushion for the pew.
