The English Romantics at South Petherton

Trio Paradis play a Café Concert on the first Wednesday morning of each month (except January) at 11am at The David Hall: informal feel-good music events with a pop-up café open half an hour before the concert where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and enjoy live music. 

May’s programme is a collection of beautiful music by English composers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, among them Charles Villiers Stanford, Frank Bridge, Ernest Austin and Alice Verne-Bredt.

Concert lasts c45m. Entrance - or rather exit! - is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection. There's no need to book, but turn up early to be sure of a table and best choice of cakes as these events are very popular.
