Trio Paradis bring their Café Concerts to the Athenaeum on the first Friday afternoon of each month (except January) at 3.00pm: informal music events in the community, with a pop-up café after the concert, where you can meet friends and make new ones.
May’s programme is a collection of beautiful music by English composers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries: Charles Villiers Stanford, Frank Bridge, Ernest Austin and Alice Verne-Bredt.
Our first concert will be upstairs in the First Floor Function Room. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL for this concert as the venue has limited capacity. Please book here, reserving the exact number of free tickets you require.
Concerts last c45mins and entrance (or rather, exit!) is by pay-what-you-feel donation, with a retiring collection. Refreshments - tea, coffee and delicious home-made cakes - are on sale in the bar after the concert, where you can chat with the performers.
