What's in a Name? at South Petherton

Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert on the first Wednesday of each month at 11am at The David Hall: a themed 45-minute concert of mainly classical music, introduced by the performers. There is a pop-up café half an hour open before the concert where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes.

‘What’s in a Name?’ explores the theme of names from two angles: individuals who have inspired particular pieces of music, with musical portraits of Sylvia, Margaret, Susan, Jennifer and Mr Belloc; and composers with amusing or unfortunate names - works by Gelinek, Schytte and others...
